According to the new edition of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine that arrives in June, Clamp Sakura Card Captor anime project in celebration of the original work's 20th anniversary. Without giving much detail, Clamp said that more details will arrive soon for fans.
The original manga is currently 20 years old. Sakura manga series would arrive in the July issue of the magazine.
In Brazil it was shown on the cable channel Cartoon Network in 2000, on Rede Globo in 2001 and on the cable channel Boomerang in 2010, on Ulbra TV as well. The manga series was published by JBC with 24 volumes in the half-tankobon format and in 2001, being the first manga in Brazil to be sold on a newsstand, which in turn gave impetus to other mangas, on this occasion in 2012 JBC made a special edition with color pages in 12 volumes just like the Japanese original.
