We have confirmation from Netflix that the 2nd season of Castlevania: Nocturne will happen. Therefore, the series premiered on September 28th and the streaming giant has already announced a second season.

The series is produced by Project 51 Production and Powerhouse Animation , with Kevin Kolde and Clive Bradley directing. There are eight episodes, each lasting 25 minutes.
Synopsis:
France, 1792, the height of the French Revolution. In a remote region in the west of the country, the counterrevolutionary aristocracy forms an alliance with the terrifying Vampire Messiah, who promises to "consume the sun" and use an army of vampires and Creatures of the Night to end the revolution and enslave humanity. The sorceress Annette seeks Richter Belmont, the last descendant of the legendary vampire hunting family, to lead the resistance.
Finally, the anime focuses on Richter Belmont , descendant of Sypha and Trevor, and is set in the French Revolution (1789-1799), inspired by the games Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of Night .
