A new anime adaptation of the classic manga Cat's Eye was confirmed this Thursday (21) by Disney+ .

After almost 40 years, Cat's Eye , the iconic anime about the mysterious sisters, is back with a new series! The series will premiere exclusively on Disney+ Star in 2025 .

Cat's Eye Synopsis:

The story blends action, romance, and comedy as the sisters stage daring escapes and play a cat-and-mouse game with the police, including a thrilling and risky relationship between Hitomi and Detective Toshio.

The new adaptation is part of Disney's commitment to bringing classics to a modern audience while maintaining the charm that has won fans around the world.

Cat's Eye is a manga written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo Shueisha 's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine between 1981 and 1985. In 1983 Tokyo Movie Shinsha studio released the first anime version, broadcast on Nippon TV followed by a second season in 1985 .

Finally, the series also gained a television movie in 1988 and a film adaptation in 1997 .
