Cells at Work! Gets a Dentistry Spin-Off

The manga Cells at Work!, by Akane Shimizu, is getting a new spin-off focused on the inside of the mouth. The series premieres in the next issue of Shonen Sirius magazine. Kodansha announced in the magazine's November issue that Koma Warita and Kawede Sakaki will be behind Cells at Work! Dental.
However, the first chapter arrives on October 26, 2026.
New setting: Cells inside the mouth
The spin-off will take the characters to a new battlefield: the inside of the mouth. The series will reveal the secrets hidden in this part of the body, in keeping with the franchise's premise.

Meanwhile, Cells at Work! Cat, by Choko Aozora and Meku Kaire, ended in March of this year. The fifth and final volume was published in Japan on May 8. However, Kodansha USA released the first volume in English on September 22.
Shimizu published the original manga in March 2015 in Monthly Shonen Sirius. The series eventually ended in January 2021 and spawned several spinoffs over the years, including Cells at Work! Code Black, Cells NOT at Work! and Cells at Work! Baby.
