Chapter 202 of Chainsaw Man, officially released on Tuesday (6), brought a mixture of tension, body horror and ethical dilemmas that deeply impacted readers. While the confrontation between Denji and Yoru promised to be the highlight, the appearance of the enigmatic Fakew Man eventually dominated the narrative, revealing clues about his true identity and his macabre goals.

The episode not only reinforces the psychological density of the manga, but also raises increasingly complex moral issues for its protagonist.

The tension between Denji and Yoru intensifies

The chapter begins immediately after the events of the previous episode, with Denji and War Devil Yoru in full discussion. Yoru causes Denji, wondering if he is annoyed enough to face her. Denji, clearly on the verge of a rabies attack, activates his chainsaws, but Yoru deflects his attention and directly attacks Fakesaw Man with one of his characteristic attacks, the Bang.

The attempt, however, fails. Fakesaw manages to divert and, in an immediate answer, Denji cuts his left arm. Now Armless, Fakesaw Ironically asks if the conflict between the two was just a staging to make him vulnerable. Denji denies and states that Yoru is simply "crazy anyway." Yoru, as if confirmed Denji's speech, says it's cold and it's time to leave, throwing another bang against the enemy, who now seemed helpless.

The arrival of the zombies of the fire demon

Which seemed to be the end for Fakesaw Man to take an unexpected course. Two infected individuals, Fire Devil contractors turned into Chainsaw Man zombies, come in front of the attack to protect it. Shortly thereafter, an even larger number of contractors joins Fakesaw, forming a human shield around him.

It is at this moment that one of the most grotesque moments of the manga happens: the bodies of contractors begin to merge with Fakesaw, creating new members from a jumble of arms, legs and torsos interconnected. Yoru watches the scene with disgust, while Fakesaw confirms to Denji that he feels absolutely nothing by cutting unknown people.

A new dilemma: save or kill?

The scene reaches its apex of horror when Fakesaw questions Denji: Would he be able to kill people who beg for help without feeling guilty? The provocation gains an even more cruel tone when the fake -fused bodies suddenly recover their conscience. Now aware of deformation and forced fusion, contractors begin to scream for help in absolute panic.

One of them recognizes Denji and claims to save them. Denji, perplexed, sees Fakesaw for a few seconds in silence. Tension breaks when Fakesaw tries to attack him, causing the protagonist to deviate quickly. However, the movement further hurts people in their new grotesque members, generating a new wave of screams and requests for help. The scene closes the chapter in a tone of absolute despair.

Fakesw Man and his connection with the fire demon

Although chapter 202 does not bring explicit revelations, he strongly suggests that Fakesaw Man is actually the true form of Fire Devil, or at least a direct manifestation of his power. This becomes evident by their influence on contractors and the way they absorb their bodies and souls to generate new members.

Another important point is the dynamic between Denji and Yoru. Despite misunderstandings and mutual attacks, the episode suggests that both still depend on each other, which indicates that, however chaotic, the separation between them is far from happening.

Psychological horror and identity in check

Chapter 202 of Chainsaw Man reinforces what many fans already know: this is not a common work. Instead of focusing only on action and violence, Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga puts its characters in constant moral and emotional conflicts, challenging their identities, purposes and ethical limits. Fakesaw Man's emergence as a possible representation of Fire Devil opens a new arch full of tension, ambiguity and psychological terror.

Denji, once seen as a reluctant hero, is now trapped between his responsibilities and the brutal reality of his choices. How will he react to so many requests for help from deformed and conscious bodies? Chainsaw Man remains one of the most provocative series of the current scenario, delivering not only stylized violence, but human dilemmas that echo far beyond the manga pages.
