Chainsaw Man – Anime was NOT nominated for the Anime Awards

The streaming platform Crunchyroll announced the nominees for Anime Awards anime productions that were released during the year in question. However, the “ Anime of the Year ” category, considered the most important, has already had its titles announced by the platform.

Chainsaw Man – Anime was NOT nominated for the Anime Awards

Check it out:

Among the nominees for best Anime of the Year:

  • Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season – Part 2 ( Attack on Titan );
  • Cyberpunk: Edgerunners;
  • Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yuukaku-hen ( Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc );
  • Lycoris Recoil;
  • Ousama Ranking Part 2 ( Ranking of Kings );
  • Spy x Family.

Therefore, the news published on Crunchyroll 's Twitter took otaku fans by surprise. In other words, fans questioned the absence of the anime Chainsaw Man , Bleach and the beloved Bocchi the Rock! , that is, both were shown during the autumn-2022 season .

Check out the fan outrage:

  • Where is Mob Psycho 100? Where is BLEACH? Where is Summertime Rendering? Where is Made in Abyss? Where is Kaguya-sama?
  • Serious? Shingeki no Kyojin and Ousama classification? I like both, but please. The Ousama Ranking is from 2021 and for Shingeki no Kyojin they indicated the second part of an unfinished series. Where's Bocchi the Rock! ? Chainsaw Man isn't here?
  • And where the hell is Summertime Rendering?
  • Crunchyroll doing “the Crunchyroll” every year. What a pathetic selection;
  • I went to the website and the rest of the recommendations are equally bad haha

Synopsis:

The story takes place in a world where demons are born from human fears. Although they are generally dangerous and malevolent, humans can form contracts with demons to use a portion of their power. Denji is a depressed young man who is trying to pay off his late father's debt to the yakuza by selling several of his organs and working as a demon hunter.

Finally, Fujimoto launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018.
