First, it's worth noting that the manga recently returned with a vengeance on July 12th! Editor Shihei Lin recently confirmed that the number of reads on the Shonen Jump Plus service surpassed 2.5 million in less than 24 hours on the day of its return!
On the other hand, author Fujimoto began publishing the Chainsaw Man manga in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in December 2018, finishing the first part in December 2020. By the way, it is also worth mentioning that later this year, 2022, we will have an anime of the work!

Synopsis
The story takes place in a world where demons are born from human fears. While they are generally dangerous and malevolent, humans can form contracts with demons to harness some of their power. Denji is a depressed young man trying to repay his late father's debt to the yakuza by selling several of his organs and working as a demon hunter. Denji also possesses a dog-like demon named Pochita, who resembles a chainsaw and assists Denji in his work.
