The Japanese website Myjitsu published an article compiling negative reactions from viewers to the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man , specifically regarding the actions of Denji , the protagonist. It turns out that the latest episodes included several fan service scenes, but rather than simply being a comedic twist on the manga, the anime seemed too realistic to some, including feminists.

The discussion reached incredible proportions on the blue bird's social network :

“How can anyone watch a series where women are objects to satisfy the protagonist’s desires?”

“Denji is the worst person a woman could have, that's why he can't get anyone.”

“Makima’s scene demonstrated how much of a jerk Denji is.”

“It's incredible how the work does everything to create eroticism, it's simply disgusting.”

“I don't doubt that by the end the protagonist will have sex with someone.”

“Very good, the guy’s goal is to eat a woman, disgusting, nothing more.”

“As a woman, I feel offended by this protagonist’s objective.”

"How can a work like this be successful all over the world? The world is lost, full of teenagers and men who only want to use women to satisfy their desires."

“Honestly, I hope Denji dies.”

“I am a single mother, because of these men.”

“Is anyone seriously going to cancel Chainsaw Man? This work is so wrong in every way.”

“Denji represents the virginity of a young teenager well, that's why they never date anyone.”

Various comments are being made and heavily criticized by otakus who love and follow the series. Finally, what's your opinion on the matter? Do you agree? Disagree? Leave your comment and see you next time!

Synopsis:

The story takes place in a world where demons are born from human fears. While they are generally dangerous and malevolent, humans can form contracts with demons to harness some of their power. Denji is a depressed young man trying to repay his late father's debt to the yakuza by selling several of his organs and working as a demon hunter. Denji also possesses a dog-like demon named Pochita, who resembles a chainsaw and assists Denji in his work.

Fujimoto launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018, concluding the first arc in December 2020 with 11 volumes. The second part of the manga is already being released weekly.
