In Chapter 139 of Chainsaw Man, Denji meets Sugou Miro, one of the hybrid demons being controlled by Makima . Sugou has now started attending Denji's high school to propose to him. After Makima's death, the whereabouts of the hybrid demons were unknown. However, Sugou revealed that they are gathering at Chainsaw Man's church.
Hybrids, also known as Weapons, are humans who can transform into demons, like Denji and Reze. Reze is likely also at the Chainsaw Man church, so she should finally return soon to reunite with Denji.
Synopsis:
The story takes place in a world where demons are born from human fears. While they are generally dangerous and malevolent, humans can form contracts with demons to harness some of their power. Denji is a depressed young man trying to repay his late father's debt to the yakuza by selling several of his organs and working as a demon hunter. But Denji also has a small pet demon named Pochita, who assists him in his work.
Tatsuki Fujimoto launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in December 2018, concluding the first arc in December 2020 with 11 volumes. Part 2 of the manga launched in July 2022, but its chapters are now published in Shonen Jump+. The new manga story introduces a new and different protagonist, Mitaka Asa, a student who attends the same high school as Denji.
