The film Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc has just received a new teaser featuring its ending theme song, “JANE DOE” , performed by Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada . The premiere in Japan is on September 19 , 2025, while international releases begin on September 24. In US theaters, the release is scheduled for October 29, 2025 .

Studio MAPPA is returning to produce the animation, but now with Tatsuya Yoshihara taking over as director, replacing Ryu Nakayama , who directed the first season. The announcement was made during a special MAPPA panel at Anime Expo 2025 .

The film adapts the Reze Arc from Tatsuki Fujimoto , published on the MangaPLUS with free chapters in English. The physical series is published by Viz Media .
Synopsis
After an encounter with Makima , Denji takes shelter from the rain and meets Reze , a mysterious girl who works at a cafe. From that moment on, his life enters a new and explosive phase within the Special Division 4 of demon hunters.
