The trailer for the 6th season of Boku no Hero Academia was recently released, and we noticed that they removed the appearance of Chainsaw Man , the protagonist of Tatsuki Fujimoto .
The author of My Hero Academia, Kohei Horikoshi , included Chainsaw Man in the scene as a joke, to reference another manga. Editorially, this reference is possible because both manga are published by Shueisha (and even appeared in the same magazine for a time). However, in the anime, it's a different story; Chainsaw Man is from Studio MAPPA , and My Hero Academia is from Studio BONES . This means that Chainsaw Man appearing in an animation from another studio would be a copyright infringement.
Although it's a frivolous matter, it's frustrating for fans; this should have been foreseen and remedied before it happened if there had been an agreement between the studios through Shueisha's intervention. However, it seems that it wasn't a matter worthy of attention.

Interestingly, instead of completely removing the character, they kept the same silhouette of Chainsaw Man, but slightly changed the colors and design. The famous " copy, but don't make it the same. " Thus we have the incredible appearance of the SAW MAN .

Finally, Horikoshi Kouhei's My Hero Academia has been published in Weekly Shonen Jump since July 2014 and entered its final arc in March 2021. The sixth season of the anime adaptation premieres on October 1st in Japan and will be available on Crunchyroll in Brazil.
