Chainsaw Man has never been afraid to push the limits; the series has shown us everything. Denji lives in an incredibly cruel world, but he continues to fight against it. However, the Chainsaw Man manga has just proposed the darkest deal yet.

The revelation comes in Chapter 174, released this week by Tatsuki Fujimoto . In it, fans join the Public Safety Commission, where the representative secretly meets with a number of Japanese leaders. The ministers are informed of Chainsaw Man's power to devour demons in his true form. Now, the commission wants permission for Chainsaw Man to devour the Aging Demon, but there's a frightening condition.

For the deal to come to fruition, the ministers must coordinate a massacre. The Aging Demon will only be willingly eaten if the following condition is met:

In exchange for being devoured by Chainsaw Man without resisting, the Aging Demon wants us to kill 10,000 children with Japanese citizenship, between infancy and nine years old, in front of mirrors.

The sickening negotiation makes at least one of the ministers queasy, but when his children are threatened, he relents. Tadashi Hasegawa, former finance minister, readily approves the proposal. He orders the group to sacrifice children orphaned by demon attacks, and if they need more, Japan is willing to adopt international children who can receive Japanese citizenship. And, well, the corrupt minister is completely on board with this kind of sacrifice.
