Check out the anime that may experience episode delays due to the Olympic events

NHK Twitter account has revealed that it may delay or change the airing date of some of the anime that will air on the NHK E-TV channel due to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Check out the animes and their respective episodes that may be affected below:

  • WASIMO (episodes July 26-27, August 2-3)
  • Ojarumaru (episodes July 28-30, August 4-6, September 1, September 3)
  • Nintama Rantaro (episodes July 26-30, August 2-6, September 1, September 3)
  • Fushigi Dagashiya Zenitendoi (episodes on July 27, August 3, August 31)
  • Uchuu Nanchara Kotetsu-kun (episodes on July 28, August 4, August 25, September 1)
  • Major 2nd (episodes on July 28, August 4, August 25, September 1)
  • Oshiri Tantei (episodes on July 24, July 31, August 7, August 28, September 4)
  • Motto! Majime ni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori (episodes on July 30th, August 6th, August 27th, September 3rd)
  • Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun (episode on August 28th)
  • Love Live! Superstar!! (episodes airing July 25, August 1, August 29)

NHK therefore plans to cancel broadcasts of the episodes listed above. The channel asks viewers to check the program guide for the latest broadcast information.

The official Twitter account for the anime Love Live! Superstar!! stated that the third episode of the anime is scheduled to air on August 8th.

The Tokyo Olympics were originally scheduled for July 24 to August 9, 2020, followed by the Paralympics from August 25 to September 6. However, both events were postponed due to the COVID-19 .

The event team announced in March that international spectators were banned from attending the event. Most events will also not have spectators on site due to the pandemic.
