It was announced via the official website of the anime Chibi Maruko-chan that the airing of new episodes has been suspended as a preventative measure against the spread of the novel coronavirus.
However, starting May 3rd, " Haru no Sakura Momoko Matsuri ," a rerun of popular episodes from the series, will be shown. Although the rerun will last three weeks, there are no plans for new episodes.
This is yet another work that joins the list of productions affected by Covid-19 . Chibi Maruko-chan is one of the most watched anime in Japan, consistently ranking third in viewership.
