Japanese website Eiga.com announced that Osamu Tezuka , Black Jack live-action adaptation . Beijing Enlight Picture , the producer, revealed the film's production during a press conference. Following its success in theaters, Beijing Enlight Picture stated that, in addition to Black Jack, it plans to produce 10 more live-action titles based on manga .

Synopsis: The manga tells the story of Black Jack, a doctor who works without a license and charges a high price for his treatments—which is why he sometimes gets into trouble with the police, but maintains a strong reputation among his colleagues. He typically treats common but complex cases. His methods are mysterious, which is why he is sometimes referred to as "the surgeon of the impossible." The doctor generally appears apathetic, a trait intensified by the large scar that crosses his face, dividing it into two distinctly different hues.
