The June issue of Kadokawa Shoten 's Newtype published that the anime Chuunibyou demo Koi Shitai! will have a second season, with production already underway.
In March, a teaser trailer announced the renewal of the franchise's contract, but until then, no information had been released on how the series would continue. "Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai!" is a light novel written by Torako and illustrated by Nozomi Osaka. A 12-episode anime adaptation by Kyoto Animation premiered on October 4, 2012.

Ultimately, the plot revolves around Yuuta Togashi, a boy who suffered from "adolescent delusions" during elementary school, believing himself to be the "Master of the Black Flames" and withdrawing from his peers. However, finding his past embarrassing, Yuuta tries to start over in high school at a new school, free from his old delusions. However, this proves difficult, as another delusional teenager, Rikka Takanashi, discovers Yuuta's other identity and begins to take an interest in him.
