The June issue of Kadokawa Shoten 's Newtype published that the anime Chuunibyou demo Koi Shitai! will have a second season, with production having already started.
In March, a teaser trailer was aired announcing the renewal of the franchise's contract, but until then there had been no information as to how the series would be continued. Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! is a light novel written by Torako and illustrated by Nozomi Osaka. A 12-episode anime adaptation by Kyoto Animation premiered on October 4, 2012.

Finally, the plot revolves around Yuuta Togashi, a boy who during elementary school had “adolescent delusions”, believing he was the “Master of Black Flames” and distancing himself from his classmates. However, finding his past embarrassing, Yuuta tries to start over in high school at a new school, free from his old delusions. But this proves difficult, as another teenager with delusions, named Rikka Takanashi, finds out about Yuuta's other identity and begins to take an interest in him.
