The official Twitter City Hunter franchise announced this Friday that the new film in the franchise will be released in 2023.
Tsukasa Hojo , the creator of the City Hunter manga, drew the image below for the film, announcing that “The final chapter begins.”
Voice actor Akira Kamiya will return to play the character Ryo Saeba .
Tsukasa Hojo 's City Hunter manga ran from 1985 to 1991 and has 35 volumes. The manga has inspired four anime series, a film, and several specials.
The original anime premiered in April 1987, while the film City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes premiered in Japan in February 2019.
