City Hunter: Tenshi no Namida – New trailer reveals the film's release date

The official Twitter account for the new film 'City Hunter: Tenshi no Namida' revealed the film's main poster, a trailer, and its release date of September 8th.

The trailer showcases the film's new characters (and their voice actors), the opening theme song "Whatever Comes," and the ending theme song "Get Wild" (the same ending theme song from the original anime). The band TM Network is performing both theme songs.

The film's new characters and cast include:

  • Miyuki Sawashiro as Angie
  • Kenyuu Horiuchi as Shin Kaibara
  • Tomokazu Seki as Pirarucu
  • Subaru Kimura as a Sword

Therefore, the film will revolve around Ryo Saeba's past and the death of his former partner Hideyuki Makimura. Additionally, it will also focus on Angel Dust, who was important in the original series.

The film's tagline is "The final chapter begins.".

The new anime film therefore commemorates the 35th anniversary of the television anime.

Finally, the manga City Hunter, by Tsukasa  Hojo , was published from 1985 to 1991 and has 35 volumes.
