The direction is by Tomohisa Taguchi on Studiopierrot . While Masashikudo is returning as a character designer and Shirosagui is returning to compose the song.
Thousand Year Blood War arc is therefore the concluding arc of the Bleach manga Tite Kubo that covers volumes 55-74.
Synopsis:
After a series of murders in the Hollow and several disappearances in the Rukongai district, it is revealed that the Quincy were actually alive. The Quincy, to jog your memory, are of the order of reishi-manipulating human mediums who kill Hollows instead of purifying them like the Soul Society. They are thought to have been killed by the Society en masse 1000 years ago, with the exception of the Ishida family.
Author Tite Kubo launched the Bleach manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001, and ended it in August 2016.
