Comic-Con 2020 is canceled due to coronavirus

Sad news for fans of nerdy entertainment. After several rumors San Diego Comic-Con 2020 , the event was canceled due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

“For the first time in the 50-year history of San Diego Comic-Con, the organizers behind the annual pop culture celebration event announced today with great regret that there will be no Comic-Con in 2020. The event will return to the Convention Center from San Diego on July 22-25, 2021.”

Finally, the organizers also state that tickets for this year's event can be refunded or transferred to next year's Comic-Con. The organization's spokesperson, David Glanzer , commented on the cancellation:

“Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures, and while we are sad to make this decision, we know it is the right one ,” Glanzer said.
