As discussed in previous posts, several changes have occurred in the doujinshi , as well as in the video game segment, due to the widespread digitalization process. This shift has naturally resulted in a decline in physical sales, although they are still supported by mass events and online sales. Electronic doujinshi, in turn, is progressively gaining ground to become dominant in the market.

Company begins banning hentai from Sousou no Frieren
FANZA and DLsite , stand out . Several artists reported on their social media that FANZA had issued a notice of a complete ban on the production of adult doujinshi based on the "Sousou no Frieren (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End)" franchise.
Artist “Shiraki (@wwood126)” shared an email he received from FANZA announcing these new guidelines:
Thank you for your continued support, this is FANZA Doujin Support. Thank you very much for registering your work for sale through our service. We deeply regret this, but in accordance with the wishes of the copyright holders, we have decided to refrain from managing works that parody the following elements: "Sousou no Frieren." We inform you that we have changed the status of the works in question to "Suspended" for the reasons stated above. Thank you for your continued support.
Another artist, “小黒唯 (@ogro_yui)”, commented on:
FANZA banned Sousou no Frieren "because they are commercial doujinshi" and "because electronic sales are dangerous." Keep in mind that often searching for a term on Google can result in the search engine showing a doujinshi instead of the original manga. Currently, sales are still allowed on DLsite, Toranoana, and Melonbooks. Why was this decision only made by FANZA? Perhaps they announced it before everyone else?
Finally, comment on what you think about this debate.
