As discussed in previous posts, several changes have occurred in the doujinshi , as well as in the video game segment, due to the comprehensive digitalization process. This change, naturally, resulted in reduced sales of physical versions, although they are still supported by massive events and online sales. Electronic doujinshi, in turn, is progressively gaining ground to become dominant in the market.

Company starts banning Sousou no Frieren hentai

In this context, the main platforms for this content stand out, FANZA and DLsite . Several artists reported on their social networks that FANZA notified them of a total ban on the production of doujinshi for adults based on the “Sousou no Frieren (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End)” franchise.
Artist “Shiraki (@wwood126)” shared an email he received from FANZA announcing these new guidelines:
Thank you for your continued support, this is FANZA Doujin Support. Thank you very much for registering your work for sale through our service. We are very sorry, but in accordance with the wishes of the copyright holders, we have decided to refrain from managing works that parody the following elements: “Sousou no Frieren”. We inform you that we have changed the status of the works in question to “Suspended” for the reasons explained above. Thank you for your continued support.”
Another artist, “小黒唯 (@ogro_yui)”, commented on:
FANZA banned Sousou no Frieren “because they are commercial doujinshi” and “because electronic sales are dangerous.” Keep in mind that often Googling a term can cause the search engine to show a doujinshi instead of the original manga. Sales are currently still permitted on DLsite, Toranoana and Melonbooks. Why did only FANZA make this decision? Maybe they announced it before everyone else?
Finally, comment what you think about this debate.
