Fans have been asking for this, and it looks like developer CyberConnect2 has answered! Based on the new images of the game (images below) everything indicates that Team vs Single “Team vs Solo” will be present.
This means that one player can use support characters while another does not use them. In Storm 3 (Predecessor of the “Ninja Storm” franchise) such a feat was not possible. You should choose between Team battle “Team combat” or Single battle “Individual combat”.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution was the last game announced by Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 in the “Naruto” series. The game will tell stories never seen before: How each member of Akatsuki was recruited, The complete story of Uchiha Shisui and Kushina's interaction with the Minato team. The game will also have combined specials, something that was last seen in Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Accel 2 (PlayStation 2). In addition, more than 100 playable characters and 50 minutes of exclusive animation will be available.
The game will be released in September 2014.
