Fans had been asking for this, and it seems that developer CyberConnect2 has listened! Based on the new game images (images below), everything indicates that Team vs. Single will be present.
This means that one player can use support characters while another does not. In Storm 3 (predecessor to the "Ninja Storm" franchise), this was not possible. You had to choose between Team battle or Single battle.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution was the last game announced by Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 in the "Naruto" series. The game will feature never-before-seen stories, including: how each member of the Akatsuki was recruited, the complete story of Uchiha Shisui, and Kushina's interaction with Team Minato. The game will also have combined special moves, something last seen in Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Accel 2 (PlayStation 2). In addition, there will be over 100 playable characters and 50 minutes of exclusive animation.
The game will be released in September 2014.
