NBC has confirmed the production of the pilot episode of Constantine for TV, Constantine comic book of the character created by Alan Moore , Steve Bissette and Jamie Delano . With a script and executive production by David S. Goyer and Daniel Cerone , the series will follow John Constantine , an enigmatic and irreverent con artist who becomes a supernatural detective and is forced to defend humanity against the forces of the beyond. There are no details about the cast of the series yet, news will be released soon.

Constantine , created in 1985, was initially a recurring character in DC Comics ' Swamp Thing Saga" before gaining his own comic book series. He was brought to the big screen in 2005, played by Keanu Reeves .
