This Friday (17th) it was announced that the anime Cop Craft will premiere in July this year. The anime is based on the novel by Shoji Gatoh titled Cop Craft: Dragnet Mirage Reloaded .
“15 years ago, an unknown hyperspace gate opened over the Pacific. Beyond the confines of this gate lies Reto Semaani, a strange alternate world where fairies and monsters live.
San Teresa City—a city where more than two million immigrants from both worlds live. As a result, there are good things and not so good things. It is considered the newest “city of dreams” in the world. However, in the shadows, crime runs rampant: from drugs to prostitution and arms trafficking. And those who act against these crimes are the detectives of the San Teresa City police. However, when detective Kei Matoba and the knight of the alternative world, Tilarna Exedilika—two individuals who differ in gender, personality and even world of origin— meet, an incident happens. Two Worlds. Two Justices. From there, a story of double police action begins!”

The anime is being produced by studio Millepensee and has Shin Itagaki as director. The character designs are by Hiromi Kimura. The opening and ending songs feature performances by Masayoshi Oishi and Mayu Yoshioka , respectively.
