Shinichiro Watanabe , the director of Cowboy Bebop , recently announced a partnership with Adult Swim and studio MAPPA to direct his new anime, Lazarus . The anime will be an original series from MAPPA, which is known for animating Jujutsu Kaisen , Chainsaw Man and the final season of Attack on Titan .

Currently, Adult Swim has not yet revealed many details about the anime other than its name, studio and the project's director. However, more information will be released during San Diego Comic-Con , which takes place this weekend. Then Jason DeMarco , vice president and head of action series at Adult Swim, shared a statement about Shinichiro Watanabe's involvement in Lazarus.
“Shinichiro Watanabe is simply one of the greatest artists alive and it is a dream come true to be able to collaborate with him on a new original series.”
Synopsis:
The anime is set in 2052 and follows a neuroscientist who develops a miracle drug called Hapuna. The medicine is a cure for many diseases, but it comes to light that Hapuna will kill anyone who takes it after a few years. As chaos takes over the world, a special team of agents is assembled to deal with the situation.
Additionally, the team will have the support of Chad Stahelski John Wick films , working on the action scenes and support for the company Sola Entertainment .
