The creator of the manga “ Kaguya-sama: Love is War ”, Aka Akasaka , announced this Thursday that he intends to stop working as an artist, and will now focus only on the writing part.
Therefore, Kaguya-sama: Love is War should be the last manga for which he was responsible for drawing.
He added that he still plans to draw just as a relaxing hobby.
Furthermore, he highlighted that although Kaguya-sama: Love is War recently ended this Wednesday, it ended with some pre-announcements and that he is working to deliver those same announcements in the best possible way.
Synopsis
Shinomiya Kaguya and Miyuki Shirogane are members of the Shuchi'in Academy Student Council. Both are geniuses among geniuses. The time they spend together eventually makes them fall in love, but their pride won't allow them to confess and become submissive in their relationship!
Akasaka has focused more on writing for manga drawn by others in recent years, such as Oshi no Ko, which Mengo Yokoyari draws. He also previously drew the manga Sayonara Piano Sonata, which Hikaru Sugii wrote. Earlier this year, Shueisha's Young Jump magazine held auditions for a new manga artist, offering the opportunity to work with Akasaka on a new manga.
The Kaguya-sama: Love is War manga debuted in Shueisha 's Miracle Jump in May 2015, but moved to Young Jump in March 2016. The work ended this Wednesday.
Shueisha published the 27th volume of the manga on October 19, and will publish the 28th volume on December 19.
The third season of the anime adaptation premiered on April 9. Additionally, “ Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: First Kiss wa Owaranai ” (Kaguya-sama: Love is War – The First Kiss Never Ends), the anime film adapting the manga’s story arc of the same name, will premiere in theaters in Japan in winter 2022.
