The wave of the moment is the so-called “crossover”. Following the announcement that Family Guy will have an episode in Springfield, The Simpsons executive producer Al Jean announced in San Diego at Comic-Con Matt Groening animations will merge for a special episode. The crossover between The Simpsons and Futurama will be recorded in August and could be shown as the end of the 25th season in May 2014 or the beginning of the 26th. Futurama has been canceled and is currently airing its seventh and final season on Comedy Central . It's worth waiting to see this great comic crossover.
