Crunchyroll has announced via X that it has acquired rights around the world (excluding Asia) for the movie Kobayashi -san Chi no Maid Dragon: Samashigariya on Ryū .

The movie includes a new cast: Fumihiko Tachiki like Kimun Kamui and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Azad. But it also guarantees the return of the voice actors of the anime series: Mutsumi Tamura as Kobayashi, Yūki Kuwahara as Tohru and Maria Naganawa as Kanna.
Shiori Sugiui Dubla Ilulu in the movie, replacing Tomomi Mineuchi , who stopped voice acting in 2022.

The film will be released on June 27, 2025 , and will be screened in 199 theaters in Japan, with immersive screenings in 4DX and MX4D. The film will be screened in the United States in Japanese with English subtitles, with the official title being, Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved .
In Brazil, the film has not yet been confirmed in theaters, but with the distribution by Crunchyroll, it can reach streaming with Portuguese subtitles.
Synopsis of the new Kobayashi-san movie
The peaceful lives of Miss Kobayashi, Tohru, Kanna and Iruur are destroyed when Kanna's father, Kamun Kamui, leader of chaos forces . C HEGA and the force to return to the dragon world to fix a mistake of the past. With a war forming between chaos and harmony . Kanna must find a way to unite the two worlds, but is divided between her loyalty to her friends and the demands of her father. Miss Kobayashi, however, refuses to let her go and try to fix the broken bond of Kanna and Kamui. As the dragons shock, Iruur discovers a hidden force manipulating the war.
