Shows extol musical impact of anime

This year's musical attractions reflect the presence of anime not only in audiovisual, but also in the global music scene. One of the main performances will be from singer Lisa, who returns to the anime Awards with the hit "Gurenge", opening of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu on Yaiba. The song, released in 2019, became a symbol of the new generation of anime and led Lisa to be the most heard Japanese artist outside Japan in 2020 on Spotify.

Duo Creepy Nuts, formed by DJ Matsunaga and the R-Shitei rapper, also integrates the programming. They will present two themes that have become viral: "Otonoke", Dan from Dan's, and Mashle's "Bling-Bang-Bang-Bang-Bang-Bang-Bang-Bang". The tracks compete for awards in the 2025 edition, reinforcing the connection between music and narrative in the anime universe.

The rock band Flow, known for the soundtracks of Naruto, Code Geass and Dragon Ball Z, will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the anime Eureka Seven with the song “Days”. With over two decades of career, the group is recognized as one of the most influential of its kind, with strong appeal among fans.

These artists represent not only the musical quality present in anime, but also their ability to dictate trends and reach the public outside Japan.

International stars lead presentations

Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025 will bring together consecrated artists from different parts of the world as presenters of the awards categories. Among them, the Colombian J Balvin, one of the biggest stars of Reggaeton and nominated for Grammy, will be present at the ceremony. His participation reinforces the multicultural character of the event.

Brazilian Pabllo Vittar, a global reference in pop and LGBTQia+activism, was also confirmed. It had already been announced by the organization and will represent Brazil at the ceremony, being one of the first drag Queens to participate in an event of the genre with this prominence.

The group completes American singer Kacey Musgraves, awarded with multiple Grammys, and screenwriter Zak Penn, author of scripts for film hits such as “The Avengers” and “Player No. 1”. The presence of names linked to cinema, music and entertainment reinforces the scope of the award.

These choices were not casual: each personality brings its own legion of fans and sets a bridge between the universe of anime and other forms of pop culture.

Global production and reach mark the edition

Crunchyroll prepares a major show. Crunchyroll will broadcast the event to a global audience for its official YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as to assemble it at the Grand Prince Hotel. The content will be available in 10 languages: Portuguese, English, Japanese, Arab, French, German, Spanish Latin, Spanish Castilian, Hindi and Italian.

With this scope, the ceremony aims to reach a diverse audience, formed by fans of all ages and nationalities. The award has been consolidated as a milestone for creators, animators, musicians and professionals who work behind the scenes of Japanese productions.

Crunchyroll, which belongs to the Sony group, promotes the anime Awards as a way to celebrate not only the best anime of the year, but also the culture that formed around them. Growth in the number of votes and the presence of weight names indicate that anime is no longer a niche to become a global force of the entertainment industry.
