Crunchyroll free, ad-supported anime channel Samsung TV Plus platform , available on Samsung smart TVs manufactured between 2017 and 2025.
The new Crunchyroll channel will stream anime all day long for a targeted audience. The programming will feature well-known titles from the company, such as Yu Yu Hakusho , Assassination Classroom , Black Clover , To Your Eternity , The Tower of Druaga , and Witchblade . All anime will be shown with original Japanese audio and English subtitles, or dubbed in English.
In addition, the programming will include promotional blocks and episodes of the podcast Crunchyroll Presents: The Anime Effect . The company had already launched its app for Samsung smart TVs in 2024. Furthermore, it expanded its presence on other platforms such as YouTube Primetime Channels , Amazon Freevee , LG Channels , Roku Channel , and VIZIO WatchFree+ .
However, this partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment and Aniplex continues to drive new distribution strategies. This includes the arrival of "specially curated" content on Delta Airlines , scheduled for November.
Crunchyroll operates independently, but is a joint venture between Sony Pictures Entertainment and Aniplex , both subsidiaries of the Japanese Sony Group . Since 2021, Funimation Global Group has distributed all of its physical media under the Crunchyroll , after acquiring the company for US$1.175 billion .
