According to the Night City Wire , which presented news about the game Cyberpunk 2077 , CD Projekt RED announced a new  Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime in partnership with the studio Trigger and Netflix .

According to the information, this anime will have a story independent of the game, but set in the same universe, and its mission is to introduce not only the world of the game but also the entire genre to those who are not familiar with it.

The chosen studio, Trigger, which is about to turn 10 years old, is responsible for titles such as Kill la Kill , Little Witch Academia , Darling in the Franxx and BNA: Brand New Animal .

Finally, Cyberpunk Edgerunners is scheduled for 2022. The game will be released for PlayStation 4 , Xbox One, and PC on November 19, 2020.
