Netflix 's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime Trigger studio has gained its first trailer highlighting the mind-blowing action and bizarre body modifications inspired by CD PROJEKT RED 's Cyberpunk 2077 .

Synopsis
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tells the story of a street kid trying to survive in a future city obsessed with technology and body modification. With everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.

The anime will feature 10- to 30-minute episodes. Despite its connection to the game Cyberpunk 2077, the anime is standalone, requiring no prior knowledge of the game's story.
Hiroyuki ( Kill la Kill ) is directing the anime at Studio Trigger, while Yoh Yoshinari ( BNA: Brand New Animal ) is the animation director and character designer. Hiromi Wakabayashi ( Kill la Kill , Promare) is the creative director, Masahiko Otsuka ( Star Wars: Visions 'The Elder') and Yoshiki Usa (creative director on SSSS.Gridman , SSSS.Dynazenon ) are the scriptwriters. Hiroyuki Kaneko is the assistant director, Yuuto Kaneko and Yusuke Yoshigaki are the character design assistants, and Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill games) is the music composer.
Furthermore, the song “This Fffire” by the band Franz Ferdinand will be the opening theme song for the anime.
Finally, CD PROJEK RED 's Cyberpunk 2077 was released for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in November 2020.
