D.Gray-man fans can now celebrate: the new season of the anime, titled D.Gray-man Hallow , officially premieres in Japan on July 4th . The production is a direct sequel to the first animated adaptation, rekindling the clash between the Exorcists and the terrifying Akuma.

New director, new look and same intensity

Yoshiharu Ashino , known for works such as Tweeny Witches and Cross Ange will direct . The script will be written by Tatsuto Higuchi ( My-Otome ) and Kenichi Yamashita ( Koutesu Sangokushi ), promising a more intense development aligned with the manga.

Additionally, the character designs were revamped by Yousuke Kabashima , an artist recognized for his work on The Girl Who Leapt Through Time . Finally, the animation is under the care of veteran TMS Entertainment , the studio responsible for titles such as Yowamushi Pedal and Lost Canvas .
