Last week during the Jump Fest 2016 event, it was revealed that we will have a new series of the 2006 classic D.Gray-man. This week new information about the series arrived, revealing that the new anime will not be a reboot or spin-off, but rather a sequel.
The information was reported by mangaka “Katsura Hoshino” on her Instagram saying:
Thanking everyone who came to the D.Gray-man stage today. As stated in the announcement, a new series was approved. Because the staff will be completely different, the story will be a direct continuation, but I think it will become a completely new D.Gray-man anime. Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far.
Ayumu Murase (Haikyū!!, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei) returns to play Allen Walker and Shinnosuke Tachibana (Kamisama Kiss) will play Howard Link.
The Anime is scheduled to arrive in 2016.
