The 43rd issue of Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing that the manga "Dagashi Kashi" will be adapted into an anime. The original work is by author Kotoyama, who began the series in Shonen Sunday in June 2014. Currently, the publisher Shogakukan will publish the third compiled volume on October 16th.
The story features Kokonotsu, who refuses to inherit his family's rural candy shop. One day, a girl named Hotaru, who is crazy about sweets, appears in Kokonotsu's life.
