Issue 43 of Shonen Sunday magazine announces that the manga "Dagashi Kashi" will be adapted into an anime. The original work is by author Kotoyama, who began the series in Shonen Sunday in June 2014. Currently, Shogakukan will publish the third compiled volume on October 16.

The story follows Kokonotsu, who refuses to inherit a rural sweet shop from her family. One day, a girl named Hotaru, who is obsessed with sweets, appears in Kokonotsu's life.
