We have the first trailer for the second season of the anime Dagashi Kashi, which is scheduled to premiere on Japanese TV in 2018. Unlike the first production team, the studio is now Tezuka Productions, directed by Satoshi Kuwabara (Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal), with character designs by Nana Miura (Young Black Jack). Official Website

The story of the first season follows Shikada Kokonotsu's father, who owns a rural candy shop, and his plan is to give it to Kokonotsu. However, Kokonotsu wants to be a manga author instead! One summer day, a beautiful but strange girl, Shidare Hotaru, from a famous candy company, comes to visit. Apparently, Kokonotsu's father is famous, and she wants him to join her family's company. However, he will only agree if she can convince Kokonotsu to take over the family business!
