It was announced in the 3rd volume of the manga that the Dagashi Kashi is scheduled to premiere in January 2016!
The animation will be handled by Studio Feel (Kiss x sis), the direction is by Shigehito Takayanagi (Tokyo ESP), and the character design is the responsibility of Kanetoshi Kamimoto (Burst Angel).
Dagashi Kashi tells the story of young Shikada Kokonotsu, the son of a candy shop owner. Kokonotsu's father wants him to inherit the shop and take over the business, but the young man has other plans: he wants to be a manga artist! However, one day a beautiful girl named Shidare Hotaru, from a famous candy company, visits Kokonotsu's father's candy shop with the idea of getting him to join her family's company. But he says he will only accept the offer if she gets Kokonotsu to take over the family business!
