The narrative begins with Momo Ayase, Seiko Ayase, Jin “Jiji” Enjoji, Unji Zuma, Vamola, Daiki Hakono and Raiya boarding a flight to Shimane. The expectation of the group is to find a cure for the curses that afflict them, whose aggravation was evidenced in the previous chapter. However, the climate between passengers is far from quiet.
Jiji proves to be extremely nervous about the situation, being comforted by Momo. Meanwhile, Vamola tries to talk to Zuma, who responds discouraged. Although he does not see it, he can feel his presence, something that animates Momo, but also raises questions about the connection between the two.
Zuma, still not knowing the name of Momo, the flame of "girl", which irritates her. From then on, a crash develops between Jiji and Zuma, with Jiji trying to move him away from the group. Zuma, in turn, states that he intends to stay close to Momo, not romantically, but willingly. This clash reveals Jiji's discomfort, which is visibly embarrassed and annoyed, being caused by Zuma.
Relaxed interactions and rivalry climate in Dandadan
The rivalry between the two gains comic tones when Jiji asks to change places with Zuma, claiming that he cannot stand his presence. Vamola, always kind, allows the exchange, but asks Zuma to avoid provoking Jiji, noting that he is a good person. This gesture makes Jiji animate and mock the situation, making clear the light and humorous tone that permeates part of the chapter, even in the midst of the growing tension.
Seiko is sick and the danger approaches
In the midst of this confusion, Momo realizes that there is something strange with Seiko Ayase, his grandmother. Jiji suggests calling the crew, but Seiko refuses helps, attributing his discomfort to the medicines he took. Jiji then offers to use his chi in an attempt to cure it.
At this point, the atmosphere changes dramatically. A mysterious aggressor is sneaking with Jiji with a knife in his hand, but is prevented in the last second by Umbrella Boy, the spirit Yokai de Futa, Zuma's deceased brother. The unexpected intervention saves Jiji, but triggers the real chaos on board.
Hidden enemies and fight in the middle of flight
The scene intensifies rapidly when more passengers prove to be disguised enemies. A new attempted attack on Jiji is frustrated by a sure kick from Seiko. Other team members prepare for battle, while Raiya and Zuma try to protect Vamola.
However, Vamola shows that it does not need to be protected. She activates her Kaiju exoskeleton and says she will be fine, showing her growth as a character. At this point, Momo has a crucial idea: asks the vamola to invoke the empty space, an alternative dimension where passengers can be safe from the attack.
First time in the empty space and revelation of the villains
By transporting passengers to empty space, Seiko has his first experience in this supernatural environment, which adds another layer of complexity to the narrative. At the chapter's climax, the perpetrators are finally revealed: they are members of the Kito family, with Naki Kito appearing before the group, making it clear that the confrontation will be inevitable.
Revelation confirms readers' suspicions that the Kito family would return with revenge, with no intention of waiting for the group's arrival in Shimane. The chapter ends with both sides about to start a direct and large battle.
