Sharks in the sky and tension inside the plane
In the previous chapter of Dandadan, Momo and the group faced an unusual situation: sharks began flying and colliding with the plane they were on, causing the cabin to depressurize. Vamola used his special suit to seal the damage, while other frozen sharks continued to pierce the fuselage.
Seiko, upon regaining her senses, warned of an unusual force in the area. Momo suspected the group was being rejected by supernatural forces linked to the god of Shimane, but the theory was refuted. Soon, they realized the typhoon around them had human characteristics.
The scene prompted Momo to recall Okarun's teachings about the "humanoid typhoon," a living, storm-like creature. So, with the plane about to make an emergency landing, Seiko suggested using the frozen sharks themselves to cool the ocean and weaken the phenomenon.
Attack plan must mark the new chapter
With the plan in place, Chapter 196 should begin with the execution of the strategy. The characters, including the Kito family, are expected to help launch the frozen sharks into the sea. Vamola should exit the aircraft, increase in size, and launch the sharks, creating an immediate reaction in the water temperature. The goal is to cut off the typhoon's power source.
Even with the action ongoing, the outcome could be more complicated. There's a strong possibility that the cryptid will fight back, paving the way for a new direct confrontation in future issues of the manga.
