In the previous chapter of Dandadan, Momo and the group faced an unusual situation: sharks began to fly and collide with the plane they were on, causing cabin depressurization. Vamola used her special suit to seal the damage, while other frozen sharks continued to pierce the fuselage.

Seiko, upon regaining her senses, warned of the presence of an unusual force in the area. Momo suspected that the group was being rejected by supernatural forces connected to the god of Shimane, but this theory was refuted. Soon, they realized that the surrounding typhoon had human-like features.

The scene reminded Momo of Okarun's teachings about the "humanoid typhoon," a living creature in the form of a storm. Thus, with the plane about to make an emergency landing, Seiko suggested using the frozen sharks themselves to cool the ocean and weaken the phenomenon.

The attack plan should mark the new chapter

With the plan established, chapter 196 should begin with the execution of the strategy. The expectation is that the characters, including the Kito family, will help launch the frozen sharks into the sea. Vamola must exit the aircraft, increase in size, and hurl the sharks, creating an immediate reaction in the water temperature. The objective is to cut off the typhoon's energy source.

Even with the action underway, the outcome could be more complicated. There's a strong possibility that the cryptid will react, paving the way for a new direct confrontation in future issues of the manga.
