Dandadan's chapter 199 begins with the revelation that the group has managed to survive the storm, and the plane is still flying despite severe damage. The climate of initial relief soon gives way to tension, when the group realizes that Zuma disappeared during chaos.

Daiki assumes control
While the crew tries to reorganize, Daiki surprises everyone by asking for access to the command booth. Despite being visibly injured and emotionally shaken, he insists he can help, revealing that his father was a pilot and that he grew up using flight simulators.
Skeptical at first, the group ends up trusting him. With the weakened pilot, Daiki takes over the aircraft's controls. In a flashback, he remembers the criticism and humiliation suffered in childhood when they said he would never be anyone. But Daiki himself states: being a garbage collector, for example, is also a decent job. Speech marks a turning point on its self -esteem and paper in the plot.
At the same time, Toru has a moment of intense vulnerability. He admits that he always belittled Daiki, but it was precisely he who made him see his value. In one of the most exciting monologues of the chapter, Toru says he has thought of dying, because he felt that it made no difference in the world. He recognizes his mistakes, wants to apologize to Daiki and promises he wants to be a better man, someone kind, strong and willing to help others.

A new enemy and the leap in the void in Dandadan
While all this happens, the group that was being taken by the flying worm comes across a new problem: they are captured by grotesque villains who want to use them as human sacrifices.
The situation gets worse further when a flying giant shark comes in the sky and attacks the worm, forcing all the characters to jump into the air, a fall in full altitude without parachutes.
During the fall, the characters try to improvise forms of survival. Zuma uses his powers to act as a human "parachutes", but the combined weight prevents him from forming wings. The situation seems out of the way, until… The plane piloted by Daiki reappears, visually tracking friends in the sky. The team in the cabin recognizes the falling allies and begins the rescue maneuver. With precision and joint effort, the characters can approach the aircraft, paving the way for the reunion.
Closing: towards the climax of Dandadan
The last page shows the heroes being rescued in the air, with Vamola and Momo leading the operation amid shouts and chaos. The scene concludes with a dramatic panel, where the characters cling to the plane while there is still a grotesque threat on the outside of the fuselage.
“To Be Continued” appears with the plane still surrounded by danger, promising an intense continuation.
