Dandadan manga debuted as an anime in the fall 2024 season and quickly gained fans around the world. The story follows high school students Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura (Okarun), who encounter ghosts, aliens, and supernatural creatures. Momo believes in ghosts thanks to her medium grandmother, while Okarun is fascinated by extraterrestrials.
A simple challenge between the two to prove who is right ends up revealing that they are both right — and that these beings are much more dangerous than they imagined.
With a thrilling narrative, high-quality animation, and captivating characters, the anime was an immediate success. So much so that, after the final episode of the first season, a second season was announced to continue the adventures of Momo and Okarun. During the New Year celebrations, Shonen Jump editor Shihei Lin highlighted the success of Dandadan , commenting that the anime exceeded the production team's expectations.

What to expect from season 2 of the anime?
The first season's December 2024 finale left fans on edge with a major cliffhanger: Jiji and Okarun discover a secret room in the Cursed House, while Momo faces the dangerous Kito Family. Thus, the second season, premiering in July 2025, will adapt the Cursed House and Evil Eye storylines, promising more action and thrilling twists.
