The manga Dandadan, by Yukinobu Tatsu, premiered as an anime in the fall 2024 season and quickly gained fans around the world. The story follows students Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura (Okarun), who become involved with ghosts, aliens, and supernatural creatures. Momo believes in ghosts, thanks to her medium grandmother, while Okarun is fascinated by extraterrestrials.
A simple challenge between the two to prove who is right ends up revealing that both are correct — and that these beings are far more dangerous than they imagined.
With a thrilling narrative, high-quality animation, and captivating characters, the anime was an immediate success. So much so that, after the last episode of the first season, a second season was announced to continue the adventures of Momo and Okarun. During the New Year's celebrations, Shonen Jump editor Shihei Lin highlighted the success of Dandadan, commenting that the anime exceeded the production team's expectations.

What to expect from the second season of the anime?
The first season finale, in December 2024, left fans on edge with a major cliffhanger: Jiji and Okarun discover a secret room in the Cursed House, while Momo confronts the dangerous Kito Family. Therefore, the second season, premiering in July 2025, will adapt the Cursed House and Evil Eye arcs, promising more action and exciting plot twists.
