Spike Chunsoft announced the production of its new series in the “Danganronpa” franchise, titled Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen, which premieres in 2016.
The first series is called Danganronpa: The Animation, it was animated by the Lerche studio and had 13 episodes that were shown from July to September 2013. The direction is by Seiji Kishi and the character designs are by Kazuaki Morita and Ryoko Amisaki.
The story follows a group of 15 elite students who are brought together at a very special school. The school is presided over by Monokuma who explains to them that the end of the course involves committing murder. The only way they can finish the course is by killing one of their classmates without being discovered. If the colleagues discover the identity of the killer, only he will be killed.
