Date A Live IV - Anime premieres in April

The anime Date A Live IV ( fourth season ) has received a new trailer. According to the official website , the series is expected to premiere in April of this year.

Jun Nakagawa is the director at Geek Toys studio, Shiori Tanaka designs the characters for the series.

Synopsis of Data A Live:

The original story of Date A Live revolves around Itsuka Shido, a high school student. On the last day of spring break, an explosion destroys the city and a girl in armor appears before him. Shido's foster sister, Kotori, tells him that the girl is something called a "Special Disaster Creature: Spirit," which causes a space-time earthquake. Kotori reveals to him that she is the commander of the anti-spirit organization Ratatosk and orders him to date a spirit girl. Kotori says, "I'm not asking you to defeat her. Just to make her fall in love with you and save the world."

Thus, the novel by authors Koushi Tachibana and Tsunako was published between March 2011 and March 2020 with 22 volumes.

The 12-episode anime adaptation was released by AIC Plus in April 2013, and the following year we had the second season with 10 episodes by JC Staff studio.

Finally Date A Live gained a third season with 12 episodes in 2019.
