The new season of the anime Date A Live , which was scheduled to premiere in October, has been postponed. According to reports, the series will now premiere sometime in 2022.
Jun Nakagawa is the director at Geek Toys studio, and Shiori Tanaka designs the characters for the series.
Synopsis of Data A Live:
The original Date A Live story revolves around Itsuka Shido, a high school student. On the last day of spring break, an explosion destroys the city, and an armored girl appears before him. However, Shido's stepsister, Kotori, tells him that the girl is something called a "Special Disaster Creature: Spirit," which causes a space-time earthquake. Kotori reveals to him that she is the commander of the anti-spirit organization Ratatosk and orders him to date a spirit girl. Kotori says, "I'm not asking you to defeat her. Just to make her fall in love with you and save the world.".
Thus, the novel by authors Koushi Tachibana and Tsunako was published between March 2011 and March 2020, totaling 22 volumes. An anime adaptation with 12 episodes was animated by AIC Plus , premiering in April 2013, and the following year we got a second season with 10 episodes by JC Staff .
Finally, due to the immense success of Date A Live , a third season of 12 episodes arrived in January 2019.
