The first season of the anime Date A Live aired with 12 episodes and premiered in 2013. The second season aired with 10 episodes and premiered in 2014.

Synopsis
A series of earthquakes strikes the Earth and devastates various parts of Eurasia. Deceived by the belief that the cause was scientific, humans suddenly discover that the cause of it all is, in fact, not natural. The earthquakes are caused by entities called "spirits.".
